What is Loan to Value (LTV)?

Modified on Mon, 22 May, 2023 at 4:07 PM

Loan to value (LTV), is the relationship between the value of the loan amount and the value of the guarantee or collateral, expressed as a percentage. Example: a loan of €5,000 leaving as collateral an amount of cryptocurrencies worth €10,000 results in an LTV of 50% (5,000/10,000).
