How to withdraw cryptocurrencies from Bit2Me?

Modified on Wed, 2 Sep at 12:20 PM

At Bit2Me, flexibility is key for managing your digital assets. This article will guide you on how to send cryptocurrencies securely and efficiently, whether for direct transfers between Bit2Me users or for sending to external wallets and platforms. We'll also show you how to make the most of your Address Book, which allows you to save your frequently used addresses for faster and more secure future transfers.

For any of these cases, follow the steps below:

1

Access the cryptocurrency details you wish to send (for example, by tapping on it in your asset list, both from the mobile APP and the Web) and click the Send button.

2

Choose the type of transfer you want to make:

Send to a Bit2Me user. Transfer method between Bit2Me accounts using Bit2Me Pay.

  1. Select the currency from the list. (Only those available in your wallet will appear).
  2. Complete the form by indicating: amount and transfer method (email, phone, or alias). Click Send.
  3. You will need to verify the transfer using a 2FA code. Enter the received code and click Verify.

Send to an external address (Blockchain, network).

  1. Check your Address Book. If you already have saved addresses, you will see the "Frequent sending addresses" block: find it or select it directly from the list to reuse it without having to type or verify it again.
    • By clicking on a saved address, you can view its Information (address, network, and assigned name) and click Continue with this address to proceed directly to the transfer summary.
    • Please note that a saved address cannot be modified once created. If you need to change any data, you must click Delete this address and create a new one.
  2. If you don't have any saved addresses for that network, or want to add a new one, click Add new sending address.
  3. Select the currency from the list. (Only those available in your wallet will appear).
  4. Enter the amount you wish to send (you can click Maximum if you want to send everything) and click Continue.
  5. Select the sending network from the available options. More info here.
  6. Complete the form by indicating the sending address (you can paste it or scan a QR code by clicking the corresponding icon) and, if required by the selected network, the memo/tag. Read the displayed warning carefully: the sending network must match the recipient's —otherwise, funds could be permanently lost— and, if this is the first time you're sending to this address, you'll need to confirm it by email after the operation. To continue, click Continue.
  7. Indicate the type of destination wallet —whether it's yours or someone else's, and if it's on a custodial or self-custody platform— and assign an identifying name to the address (for example, "Savings") to save it in your Address Book and reuse it for future transfers. More info on why we ask for this data can be found in the Travel Rule.
  8. Review the information on the Summary screen —amount, exchange rate, sending network, destination address, wallet type and name, transaction fee, and total to send—. Note that the price updates every few seconds, so confirm before the timer expires, and click Confirm transfer.
  9. You will need to verify the transfer using a 2FA code. Enter the received code and click Verify.
  10. You will see the "Transfer in progress" screen with the amount and destination address. Transfers to the blockchain require confirmation time: you can check the operation status by clicking View transaction details, or click Continue to return to your account.
  11. If this is the first time you are sending to the indicated address, you will receive an email to your verified address to authorize the transfer.
⚠️ IMPORTANT
  • A transfer to an external wallet address cannot be canceled or reversed. The user is solely responsible for transfers to fraudulent addresses and/or erroneous transfers (wrong network, memo/tag not added).
  • An address saved in your Address Book cannot be edited once created. If you need to modify any data (name, network, address), you must delete it and create a new one.
  • Before making a cryptocurrency transfer from Bit2Me, we recommend you read the article: Security tips for cryptocurrency transfers.
  • Not all cryptocurrencies can be sent to an external wallet.
  • When you make a transfer, Bit2Me informs you of its status at all times. Check your account and email for more information.
  • If you experience any error messages while processing a transfer, contact support: open a ticket.
  • Bit2Me may restrict your transfers for various reasons. If, when trying to make a transfer, a message appears informing you of temporary blocks on withdrawals to the Blockchain, check your email in case we have contacted you, or contact us directly by opening a ticket.
