How long does it take to receive a cryptocurrency transaction?

Modified on Fri, 1 Aug at 10:41 AM

Cryptocurrency sends from Bit2Me depend on two factors: the time it takes for Bit2Me to process the tokens to the blockchain and the confirmation time of the blockchain itself.

A send usually takes a few minutes to be processed. However, there are cases where we will need to contact you before processing the operation.

Below we explain the sending process in detail:

Step 1. Operation Review.

When a cryptocurrency is sent from Bit2Me, we review the operations with the aim of offering a more reliable and secure process by trying to detect possible errors or frauds in the blockchain addresses.

  • If everything is correct, the operation will proceed to the next step almost automatically. Approximately 90% of sends to the Blockchain occur instantly.
  • If we detect that it needs review, the process may take longer. In this case, Bit2Me will contact you by email to try to resolve it.

Important: During the review, your funds remain in Bit2Me's custody, so there is no risk of loss.

From the application, in the operation details, you can track this step by checking the following statuses:

If the status of your transaction remains under review, we recommend that you check your email as we may contact you.

Thanks to the application of this process, at Bit2Me we have prevented 3.1 million euros in fraud for our customers between 2023 and so far in 2024. Full article.

Step 2. Operation sent to Blockchain.

In this step, Bit2Me has already sent the tokens to the Blockchain and the speed of the blockchain send will depend on the network congestion and the necessary confirmations of each network.

Once the send is made, you can check the status of your operation on the blockchain through the hash code that we provide in the operation details.

In the send details, you can track the different steps as shown below:
