My ID document has expired, what should I do?

If your identity document with which you registered in Bit2Me has expired, do not worry; updating it is a simple process and we will explain how to do it step by step so you can continue using your account without interruptions.



Is your document already renewed? Update it in the App.

If you already have your renewed identity document, you can upload it through our App. In fact, you can do it up to 30 days before the current document expires. Have your renewed document at hand and follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Bit2Me account: Open the App and log in with your credentials.

  2. You will see a notice on the home screen: A banner  will appear informing you that you need to update your document. You just have to tap on  Update Document .

  3. Follow the instructions: The App will guide you to take photos of your document and perform facial recognition through the automatic system.

Important:

  • The photos must be clear and legible so that we can verify them correctly. Pay close attention to focus and light when taking them. Also, remember to grant camera access on your device when the App requests it.
  •  Photographs must be taken of the physical, original document in good condition.

Recommendations: 

  • Before starting the process make sure you have correctly indicated the document you are going to photograph: nationality, issuing country of the document, and document type. If the information indicated does not match your document, the system will not read it correctly, thus rejecting your identity. You can check here the documents accepted for your account verification.
  • Occasionally, verification needs to be reviewed manually, so we will contact you once it has been reviewed.
  • For facial recognition, the face should be clear to be more effective: pull back your hair and remove your glasses.

With these simple steps, you can keep your identity document up to date in Bit2Me and continue enjoying our services without interruptions. If you need additional help, do not hesitate to contact our customer support team.

Please note that once your document expires, your account will be locked until you complete this update.

If you have not yet been able to renew your document, but already have a scheduled appointment to do so, please send us the proof of the appointment to verifications@bit2me.com.
