My ID Document Has Expired, What Should I Do?

Modified on Thu, 30 Apr at 3:47 PM

If you already have a registered and verified account, but the identity document you used to register with Bit2Me has expired, don't worry! Updating it is a simple process that we'll explain step-by-step so you can continue using your account without interruptions.

Is Your Document Already Renewed? Update It in the App.

If you already have your identity document renewed, you can upload it through our App. In fact, you can do it up to 30 days before your current document expires. Keep your renewed document handy and follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Bit2Me account: Open the App and log in with your credentials.

  2. You'll see a notification on the home screen: A banner will appear informing you that you need to update your document. Just tap on  Update Document .

  3. Follow the instructions: The App will guide you through taking photos of your document and performing a facial recognition scan using the automated system.

Important:

  • The photos must be clear and legible for us to verify them correctly. Pay close attention to focus and lighting when taking them. Also, remember to grant camera access on your device when the App prompts you.
  •  The photographs must be taken of the physical, original, and undamaged document.

Recommendations:

  • Before starting the process, make sure you have correctly indicated the document you will be taking photos of: nationality, issuing country of the document, and document type. If the information provided does not match your document, the system will not be able to read it correctly, and your identity verification will be rejected. You can check here the accepted documents for verifying your account.
  • Sometimes verification requires manual review, so we will contact you once it has been reviewed.
  • For facial recognition, your face should be clear to be more effective: tie back your hair and remove your glasses.

With these simple steps, you can keep your identity document updated in Bit2Me and continue enjoying our services without interruptions. If you need additional help, don't hesitate to contact our customer support team.

Please note that once your document expires, your account will be blocked until you complete this update.

Haven't Renewed It Yet, But Have an Appointment?

If you had a registered and verified account before your document's expiration date and haven't been able to renew it yet, but you already have an appointment scheduled to do so, please send us proof of the appointment to verifications@bit2me.com
